Not every person is suitable for a meal replacement / VLCD weight loss which may interfere with some medications or medical conditions. Prior to starting any weight loss plan it is imperative that you check eligibility with your Doctor and seek professional medical agreement & support. Review our Medical Guidance and your selected plan for further information. Do not use if in poor health, 3 months within giving birth, breast feeding, pregnant or under 18. Consult a GP before starting any diet plan
Our Meal Replacement products are designed to provide an alternative nutritional balanced food source for a safe VLCD weight loss. A good ratio of Protein v Carbohydrates is achieved to satisfy your hunger and control carbohydrates consumed. When reducing Carbohydrates you are encouraging your body to attack its stored fat for its energy supply. Hopefully you may enter a mild ketogenic phase when less than approximately 70g of Carbohydrates are consumed daily.
Our products contain:
No artificial sweeteners
Contain approx. 5g of free (added) naturally sourced sugar
We only use naturally sourced sugars in our shakes
Each Diet Shake has approximately 5g of free (added) natural sugars which is the equivalent of one teaspoon. Using 4 of our shakes a day (pre mixed / 20+ vitamins & minerals) when following a total food replacement diet you would consume 20g of free sugars daily, which is within the NHS guidelines of 30g of sugar daily for an adult. The rest of the sugars shown on our products come from the milk and whey protein. Sugar found naturally in milk, fruit or vegetables does not count as free sugars. However, they are included in the 'total sugar' figure shown on food labels and on our nutritional product tables. Sugar the facts - NHS
If wishing to decrease your sugar intake you may wish to consider mixing our products with water or unsweetened milk. However, you should first check this with your Doctor. Sugars in milk are essential for health and lactose is considered a critical nutrient that provides energy, helps with digestion, and offers a range of health benefits.
